SoundEmbrace found a great read by The Times of India article, “Bhopal: Kids marvel at the power of sound healing therapy.”
BHOPAL: The special children of Arushi celebrated Valentine’s Day at the country’s only sound healing clinic in the city on Wednesday.
The day is also celebrated as World Sound Healing Day across the world. The session began with sounds produced from rubbing of singing bowls and gongs.
The power of sound healing session was clearly observed after 15-minute session, when one of the 25 mentally retarded children went in deep slumber. According to Sapna Gupta, member of Arushi, the 30-minute healing session was far better than normal Valentine’s Day of chocolates and gifts. She said, “Children felt the sounds of bowls and gongs and chanted ‘Om’ and ‘Ah’ along with the music. They were also taught to laugh together and make others smile.
Children were able to sense the music through its vibration. Dr Arti Sinha, who conducted the session, chose love vibrations for the healing session.”
Barkha Agrawal, one of the participants, said: “The session also helped me to control my anger.”
