Ok, look.. I am not saying that dis-ease or illness within the body is solely the cause by that conversation that is happening in your head. I am saying that the reality is that your thoughts can manifest and create physical symptoms. The important here is to realize that YOU CAN EMPOWER YOURSELF to change your thoughts.
The brain and the body are constantly sending messages to each other. These messages tell the brain and body to make changes and adjustments to the way they are working.
The mind and the body are closely linked and affect each other. This is not the same as saying your physical symptoms are ‘all in your head’ or not real. It means that your thoughts and feelings can affect your body and physical symptoms can have an effect on what you think, how you feel and what you do.
Our thoughts, even the ‘stuffing’ of our emotions can be interpreted by the brain as high stress situations creating the Stress Response within the body. This meat suit our spirit lives in was built to protect us. The brain doesn’t know that you are not actually in physical danger like if you were walking home from getting ice-cream from your favorite spot and all of a sudden a saber tooth tiger jumps out of a bush! The brain just knows you are stressed!
One of the main goals in Sound Healing is to elicit the Relaxation Response within the body. The Relaxation Response is defined as your personal ability to encourage the body to release chemicals and brain signals that make your muscles and organs slow down and increase blood flow to the brain.
So, just as your thoughts can create harm, they can also do good!
