::::Physical Fitness Recap::::
Physical exercise is an epigenetic factor that has an affect on gene expression. We all know exercise is beneficial, but the difficulty usually lies in trying to be motivated enough to actually do it… am I right?!? Haha!
The CDC states that frequent physical activity is one of the most important things for your health.
It can help control:
+improve your mood
+improve mental health,
+reduce the chances of dementia and Alzheimer’s
+it can increase cognitive function
+reduce risk of an abundance of diseases such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and cancer
+and even increase your chances of living a longer life.
We talked about how when in a Sound Healing Session, whether a live or recorded, our breathing and heartbeat slows down, our blood pressure lowers, and our muscles start relaxing. The amount of lactic acid in the blood decreases and skin resistance increases. Our oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide decreases within a few minutes. The state of stress on your body decreases 4 times quicker while experiencing a sound bath than in a normal state of rest. And lastly, blood circulation increases allowing more oxygen to your muscle, in turn helping to ease out or prevent lactate production.
We also learned that you don’t need to do long periods of cadio to loose weight. That high interval training for 30 minutes is way more productive!
Are you noticing a shift? Start keeping a journal of what you are starting to notice. For example, you may notice that your mood is elevated, that you are sleeping better, or that you are toning up! Maybe your skin is clearing up, or you are thinking more clearly and quickly!
Taking notice to these things will help you stick to your fitness and wellness goals!
