Community Sound Bath with Sable Williams

  • SoundEmbrace - Virtual (map)

Sound is a powerful tool for transformation. When we combine Sound + Community we cultivate self empowerment and find healing that transcends the challenges we currently face both individually and collectively.

About:

::::Sound On:::: was created for the SoundEmbrace Sound Healing Certification Program students to have their first group public sound session as their final project.

Danielle will introduce your practitioner and then "pass the mic" for them to lead you in a truly one of a kind experience. Every sound bath session will be different and unique to the guest practitioners topic and intention.

After the sound healing session we will stick around for a 30 minute Q & A.

Description for this evenings session:

A Gentle, Hello.

When we wake up in the morning, walk into the bathroom and look in the mirror for the first time, what do you say to yourself. I invite you to give yourself a gentle, hello. You just might smile, you might continue looking, you might laugh, you might cry. The answers are endless. However, you will give yourself the love and respect of honoring the exact place you are in, mood, energy level, all of it.

I felt it might be apropos to also gently say hello in my first community ONLINE sound bath.

Each day is a new opportunity to check in, even if you went through yesterday without checking in. That’s the beauty of life, every second we have is a new opportunity.

Whether you are feeling burnt out from a crazy work shift and just need a minute to not think about anything, or you are stuck in your creative flow and need a little nudge, or maybe you are interested in relaxing, but don’t know where to start? Let’s say hello.

On August 3rd, 6pm-7pm, I will be offering my first online sound bath.

What is a sound bath? I will be playing 7 quartz bowls that are tuned to a specific frequency that emit a vibration that shits energy, tension, emotion, unwanted thoughts while you literally bathe in sound in the comfort of your own home under your favorite blanket on your favorite yoga mat/rug/carpet/floor.

What you may experience? Relaxation, Increase creative stimulation, decrease in anxiety, more clarity in life intention, lower blood pressure, lower heart rate, heightening of senses, stress release, slowing down of racing thoughts, improved sleep, calmness

What do you need? A cozy place to lay, possibly a pillow for under your head or knees if prone to back problems, headphones if possible for the most effective experience, your beautiful self in exactly the state that you are in at 6pm. No expectations.

On August 3rd, if you get a moment, give yourself a gentle hello in the mirror. I will too.

Let’s see where hello can take you. Let’s find the calm of the wild.

Get to know your Practitioner:

Sable found sound healing through following a small street in Santa Monica, California. She followed a gut feeling to walk into a hidden gem of a building and her instincts led her right into the warmest arms–sound bowls, gongs, drums, and breath.

Currently practicing as a registered nurse for over 10 years, Sable has always had a different approach to bedside care. Holding the patient’s story priority and feeling honored to hold space for them felt out of place– but needed– in a hospital setting. Always leaving the hospital at wee hours due to prioritizing human connection and support over mundane computer charting, Sable has always been looking for a way to hold space for connection, presence, and self care. Although there is a time and place for healthcare, the daily practice of supporting oneself is a necessity to navigate this treacherous world. Sable finally feels that she has found healing in a different setting.

Sable is on her journey transitioning into holistic care for all persons. Sable has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with an Acting Minor, a bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, is a certified doula and a certified Sound facilitator from Sound Embrace Institute. She is gathering her lifelong toolset of holding space to promote mental health wellness. Coming from an artistic background, incorporating movement, breath, and connection into her sessions allows her to find nuances with each facilitation.

Sable has also worked in the community setting at mental health community centers, created drama programs for elementary youth in underprivileged communities and would like to continue to hear the stories of her community.

Sable also loves nature–finding unique mushrooms, healing plants, homemade remedies, and drinking water with cucumbers. Sable believes the best gift from life is listening, then second is learning. She also believes that children are our best influence because of their zest for life and inherent honesty–because of this, she never wants to grow up, creatively speaking.

Let’s find calm in the wild.
