Listening to Music Releases Endorphins
Listening to music releases endorphins in the brain. Endorphins give us a heightened feeling of excitement. In addition to feeling euphoric, endorphins quell anxiety, ease pain and stabilize the immune system. With high endorphin levels, we have fewer negative effects of stress.

Each Celestial Body Produces a Sound
"Each celestial body, in fact, each-and-every atom, produces a particular sound on account of its movement, its rhythm or vibration. All these sounds and vibrations form a universal harmony in which each element while having its own function and character, contributes to the whole."
- Pythagoras (569-475 BC)

The Weight of Waterfalls and How to UNSubscribe
The weight of Waterfalls and how to UNSubscribe.
Under the layers and layers of voices making decisions for you is a tiny voice. One familiar. One carrying the weight of fears from others as their opinions stream in like a roaring waterfall. So much and so fast you find yourself overwhelmed.
“I am in control.” You’d say. But the truth is the subscription service you were born into dictates how the waterfall affects you. Some version of life that dances around as a masquerade ball… beautiful on the surface. But if unmasked you’d see everything you don’t want to see. The thirst for power. Dripping greed, and hate. But don’t worry, the monthly membership is a slow decay of your quality of life. And if you find yourself in a deficit you can sacrifice someone else’s.
What happened to freedom, love, community, and justice? As even those who are shouting from the rooftops thrive on its heights!
It’s easy to get swept up. Eventually letting time and the weight of the water slowly erode and mold you into something you didn’t signed up for… but once you awaken to this truth you then can empower yourself to unsubscribe.
There is a buy out fee however… you may have to leave some people, places, and things behind. The old ways of being don’t work when you unsubscribe.
Remember that tiny voice buried underneath everyone else’s voices? Get back to that. Then letting go of the illusion will become easier and easier, and you find yourself out from under the waterfall. Unclouded. Light. Stronger.

What is it about moving?
What is it about moving? It’s exciting. It’s bittersweet. It has me thinking about accessibility to people, places, and things and at the same time how its all so temporary.
When we are in one place it’s easy to feel like we can meet up with people at any moment… so much so that we don’t really take full advantage of that accessibility. Then, once the accessibility goes away, well, that’s when we scramble.
As @tonyrobins says,” Energy flows where attention goes.” I am finding myself wanting to re direct the energy.
Time for another pivot.
Meditators Proves to Helpful against Age-Related Atrophy
Meditation is currently a hot health topic as recent research from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), showed people who meditate have bigger brains (known as neuroplasticity) and stronger connections between different parts of the brain.
The study also found meditators’ brains showed less age-related atrophy, or wasting away.

Greek Physician Hippocrates
The famous Greek physician Hippocrates administered musical treatments to his patients in 400 B.C. Although this type of treatment did not originate with him, it found in him an exponent of the highest order.
With the increasing materialism of Western civilization, the major tenants of ancient musical therapy have been either forgotten or discarded. - Corinne Heline (1882-1975)

I was talking to this random guy about body image
I was talking to this random guy about body image, self talk, and bondage, as one does when in line to get coffee, and he asked me what I thought was sexy about myself?
Even though it was in the context of the conversation, the question caused me great pause. Just… wow. I expressed that I don’t often think about myself as sexy… the word that comes to mind is “cute”.
Because in my mind cute is safe.
Sexy is not safe.
Who can relate?
We can go into countless examples of the suppression, over sexualization, and war on women :::cough FU TEXAS:::
I’m someone who has lived more in their Yang, then Yin. Especially when in work mode. Which had taken up a pretty big part of my life up until the pandemic. Its been a practice for me to lean into, feel safe in, and be seen in this way.
Before this new friend went on his way he asked me one more time what I thought was sexy about myself. He also said, “You know what it is, sweetie. Stop resisting yourself.”
I finally said, “I think it’s sexy that I am willing to take risks, I am confident in my work, I am independent, I am funny, I open my heart to meeting new and different people, and I am happy! Physically, my waist, butt, collarbone, and eyes are fuckin sexy!”
I got a “Yes, honey! You are all those things, sexy! Now go live it!”
Thank you fairy gay mother! (As he called himself ) This was a conversation about a month ago in SF, but it’s stuck with me. And I have to say… I have been feeling pretty darn sexy since I faced that and stopped resisting.
