Discussing legislation tomorrow with Representative John Lewis and Recording Academy!
The Music Modernization Act was signed and I have the great pleasure and opportunity to be a part of the conversation for what’s next.
The Music Modernization Act is indeed a milestone achievement, but Congress can continue to have a tremendous impact on the livelihoods of the music community.
I’m sure we all can agree that Music has been there for each of us in so many ways. For me, it was playing the saxophone in high school to deal with my on again/off again health issues. But I didn’t know I was in love with music until I dated a guy who was a Dj who exposed me to so much more. That whole group of friends (DJ’s, musicians, music lovers!) inspired me on the daily and I am SO EXCITED that this impacts people I care about! Then, I found sound healing, and my relationship to music evolved into the most intimate of love affairs. It’s the impact of what I do in Sound Healing that is propelling me into being a part of this bigger conversation.
Tomorrow, a group from the Recording Academy and I have the opportunity to meet with Representative John Lewis to be a part of the conversation around legislation that supports music makers. I look forward to sharing more with you tomorrow... for now... I’m going to let this sit. Stoked to be a part of this! EPIC!

10 Tips for Sleepless Nights
A couple of weeks ago, I started to notice that my sleep patterns were all over the place. Tossing and turning. Waking up at random hours during the night. Having to use the bathroom at 2am!
::::SIGH::::
I am very aware of my body so I was able to take action assessing and correcting it pretty quickly. I know I’m not alone in the occasional sleepless nights. And I know for some, it can go on for months!
45% percent of Americans say that poor or insufficient sleep affected their daily activities at least once in the past seven days. (study from the National Sleep Foundation’s inaugural Sleep Health Index™)
Having trouble sleeping can have a wide-range of negative effects on your health. It inhibits your ability to focus, can be the cause of mood swings, and can affect long-term risk of medical conditions such as obesity and heart disease. (to name only a few!)
There are medical sleep aids that may work quickly to help you drift off, but they can have awful side effects and aren't good to use long term.
Here are some helpful tips on how to break the cycle of your sleepless nights. These are not overnight fixes, however, it could be impactful for some of you, especially as we nose dive in to the Holiday Season where time seems to speed up on us!
1. Sound Healing
Of course Sound Healing would be my #1 tool to fall asleep! But that’s not all Sound Healing can help you do. It can also support in bigger sleep issues like insomnia.
Sound Healing Music has a direct effect on the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps your body relax and prepare for sleep. It also has the power to slow your heart rate and breathing, lower your blood pressure, and may trigger your muscles to relax. In as little as 3 sound healing sessions, it has been shown that sound healing can support the body in lasting sleep from insomnia.
I have sound healing sound bath tracks for sale HERE. You will want the 30minute track and listen to it before bed minimum 3 nights in a row. You should then start to notice the shifts in your sleep patterns.
(and yes, I am still working on the SoundEmbrace Sound Healing App. We are on track for a December release! YAY! Stay tuned!)
2. The 4-7-8 Breath.
I know, I know… you are already breathing. The 4-7-8 breathing exercise takes some practicing to perfect, however! Once you’ve mastered it, it will become more and more effective. It may even support you in dealing with anxiety and stress.
Here is how you do it:
Place the tip of your tongue against the ridge of tissue just behind your upper front teeth and keep it there through the entire exercise.
You will be exhaling through your mouth around your tongue; try pursing your lips slightly if this seems awkward.
This is followed by the five-step procedure listed below:
+ Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound.
+ Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.
+Hold your breath for a count of seven.
+Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight.
+This is one breath. Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths.
The most important part of this process is holding your breath for eight seconds. This is because keeping the breath in will allow oxygen to fill your lungs and then circulate throughout the body. This is what produces a relaxing effect in the body.
Now… Here is a video in case you were like me and sat WTF?!? After reading all that.
3. Yes, Water.
Now, you probably understand how a lack of hydration may affect you during your daily activities. But going to bed even mildly dehydrated can disrupt your sleep.
“Dehydration causes your mouth and nasal passages to become dry, setting you up for sleep-disruptive snoring and a parched throat and hoarseness in the morning.
A lack of pre-bed fluids can also lead to nocturnal leg cramps that may keep you awake. In addition to the frustration of fragmented sleep, being dehydrated during night can compromise your alertness, energy, and cognitive performance the following day.”
Thanks National Sleep Foundation!
4. Mind Dump.
Break out your journal and get all your stress, worry, and thoughts out of your head.
If you have a busy mind before bed, a good mind dump may support you in “laying your thoughts to rest”. See what I did there?
5.Move that body!
Did you really think you would get out of working out? A regular exercise routine can improve your sleep quality. According to Sleep Doctor “ Exercise can contribute to more sound and restful sleep. Physical activity increases time spent in deep sleep, the most physically restorative sleep phase. Deep sleep helps to boost immune function, support cardiac health, and control stress and anxiety.”
So… there!
6. Limit activities in bed.
I’m not talking about the activities the bed is made for like sleeping, or playing naked twister!
Things like studying, watching tv, or balancing your checkbook can increase alertness and make it difficult to fall asleep.
7. Wake up at the same time each day.
Let the training begin! It’s so easy to sleep in. I KNOW! I LOVE sleep. However, if you are find yourself tossing and turning getting up at the same time every day it will start to train your body to wake up at a consistent time.
One thing that helped me get back on track was scheduling a workout class for 6am. Paying for the class ahead of time kept me accountable. After all, I didn’t want to loose any money! And some how, that was way ore helpful than being ok looking sleep!
8. Eliminate alcohol and stimulants.
I knew you wouldn’t like this one… sorry, not sorry!
You know it, and I know it. Caffeine can last for several hours. It doesn’t just affect you in getting to sleep, it can also cause you to get up several times at night. Look my friend, this was a tough one for me, too. I LOVE my one cup in the morning. But it’s only until you get back on the Zzzz’s at Club Pillow. I know you can do this.
9. No Dinner Before Bed.
Eating a late dinner or snacking before going to bed can activate the digestive system and keep you up.
But since you already gave up the alcohol, this should be an easy one for you to adjust!
10. Ultimate Stress Buster!
This one… well, this one is really a post on it’s own. But if you really sat down with this, it will change your life forever…
For this one, I am going to ask you to take a closer look into a few potential root causes.
+ Do you like your job? Or do you want to be doing something else?
+ Are you happy in your relationship? Or, are you needing to have an important conversation about something?
+ What are your friendships like? Are you happy? Are you living in a constant state of stress and/or anxiety?
+ What are some things you can do to evolve away from these stressful situations? How can you empower yourself to sit down and have the difficult conversations?
You deserve to live a life you love.
You deserve to have loving relationships.
Where in your life can you start taking back your power?
Where in your negative thoughts can you turn to gratitude?
I’d love to hear if this has been helpful, or if you have any tips on how to get to sleep, or what you did to overcome insomnia. Lay it out for me in the comments below.

It’s not about Sound Healing
It’s not about Sound Healing...
it’s about empowerment.
Sound is the tool.
Sound is the vehicle.
Through different techniques
it creates the environment for
your body to go into its
natural healing functions.
When most people think about being healthy they typically think about the physical body. But they would be missing a few KEY players. It’s also about being healthy mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
In order to truly heal, you must first learn to feel.
Sound creates the environment for you to feel. From there, it is your responsibility to take what comes up and empower yourself to make the change you want to see in your life. It’s an opportunity to see where you have been giving your power away and EMPOWER yourself to take back your life.

San Francisco Sound Healing 101
SAN FRANCISCO !!!
You've been asking when I am teaching this class.. well, here it is! Are you ready for a full day intensive that will give you firm foundation for your sound healing practice?
Sound Healing 101 serves to give Sound Healers a foundation to this growing field of Sound Healing, as well as introduce Sound Healing to those who are curious about it.
Students will gain the foundation needed to add sound as a therapy in their established health and wellness businesses, start their own sound healing practice, use in their music recordings, or use sound healing for their own personal health and wellbeing. .
Why am I teaching this?
Sound Healing is on the rise. The media is talking about it. Hospitals are adopting new frequency technology for treatment. And we are starting to hear about it more and more within our communities.
With this new found buzz, we are seeing a wave of interest in new practitioners to the field. We are witnessing the growth of Sound Healing in classes, coaching sessions, and in music production. The danger, is that a lot of them are untrained and unaware of how sound affects the body and what they may be doing to their clients. .
This class will empower you to create a session that supports your clients on their path to healing. Here are a few reasons why we need you: • On average, there are 123 suicides per day. • Anxiety and Depression affect 40 million adults each year. • 100 million Americans are living with Chronic Pain. • 11.9 million Americans have Cancer • There are 14,000+ substance abuse facilities in the U.S.
With the complexities of health care demands. Sound Healing is a non-invasive healing method that compliments traditional medicine. Sound Healers play a role in setting the body up to go into its own natural healing. Check out more information and Sign Up with the link below.

Mental Health + Sound Healing
Here are some stats:
1. Around 20% of the world's children and adolescents have mental disorders or problems. About half of mental disorders begin before the age of 14.
2. Mental and substance use disorders are the leading cause of disability worldwide. About 23% of all years lost because of disability is caused by mental and substance use disorders.
3. About 800,000 people commit suicide every year and is the second leading cause of death in 15-29-year-olds.
4. Mental disorders are important risk factors for other diseases, as well as unintentional and intentional injury. Mental disorders increase the risk of getting ill from other diseases such as HIV, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and vice-versa.
5. Stigma and discrimination against patients and families prevent people from seeking mental health care.
Here is how Sound Healing can help:
The brain’s internal communication is based on frequency. Our brainwaves are measured in hertz just like sound.
It has been shown that:
1. certain brainwave frequencies increase the production of serotonin, to help ease pain and increase relaxation.
2. that certain brainwave frequencies increase production of catecholamines, which are important for memory and learning, and
3. reaching deep sleep, which is beneficial for repair and recover quicker from injury, exercise or daily physical stress, and human growth hormone (HGH) is released when our brains are in the delta state.
It’s known and proven that by exercising our brain, we have better mental and emotional health and increased intellectual functioning. And that’s JUST what we do here at SoundEmbrace. We create sound experiences that exercise your brain so that your body can go into its own natural healing state. We are not solving all the worlds problems around mental health but we are a big part of the conversation and contribution to supporting the overarching mission to support adults and kids in this area.
Come check out a Sound Bath. See for yourself. We can take HSA + FSA, too!

#WeDoNotConsent
I have just come to realize that I am not doing SoundEmbrace justice. SoundEmbrace is not about sound healing at all. It’s about empowerment. It is about self realization. It is about taking personal ownership of our own lives so we can live a life that we love! And I haven’t been speaking about this when it comes to political issues... why? Honestly, I have felt like I may not know enough... that I’m not smart enough... that I won’t be take seriously. Its been a huge wake up call to realize that I was not empowering myself in this situation. So, I’m starting here:
The news about Brett Kavanaugh ACTUALLY getting sworn in to the Supreme Court... baffles my mind and weighs on my heart. All the women I know, including myself have experience some form of sexual harassment or sexual assault. .
Do I need to tell you about the time I walked across the street in a crowd of people and a man decided to smack my butt? YES, IT’S TIME!
Do I need to tell you about the times I have been grabbed on the dance floor, at the bar, on a crowded train, or at large events? YES, IT’S TIME!
Do I tell you about the time I was pinned down screaming because a man believed that “I had asked for it” and his roommate comes in laughing about it? YES, IT’S TIME!
I am LUCKY that things never escalated beyond the grab, but that’s not the case for many women. That is why THIS is so disheartening. Ladies... I know this may be a time where you are feeling powerless and unheard. I hope Jamia Wilson words (below) are helpful during this time and you begin to empower yourself by finding the courage to speak your story. Sharing will help diffuse the charge, the hold it has over you and we will begin to see the change we want to see in the world. Don’t think you or your story are too small. You matter!!! This is how movements happen.
Check out @jamiaawilson write up from the @guardian below:
“It is a very, very sad day for all Americans. Because the process we witnessed is a sham. It has shown us that survivors of sexual violence are still, within rape culture, not being heard and not being listened to.
It's the beginning of a new wave of organizing, a new surge of righteous indignation and activism. It's essential for our elected officials to understand that the people believe survivors. What we have seen goes against the will of the people, but the majority of us know that this is not justice, that it is beneath the constitution and everything it stands for.” "It's not the end, even though it may feel that way today. It's the beginning of a new wave of organizing, a new surge of righteous indignation and activism. I believe our actions in the face of this adversity will set the stage for the next 100 years.”

Social Media Has Created a Whole New Industry
Social media has created a whole new industry where there are now therapist specializing in social media addiction and the depression, anxiety, and attempted suicides that come with it. And I’m NOT just talking about adults... I work with one of those amazing therapy centers. I am so thankful for the work that Paradigm San Francisco does to help our youth, and the value they see from having sound healing as part of their program once a week. This is real. For something that is suppose to bring us together, and be a source of information, how can we empower our youth when they are inundated by highlight reels? I’m not saying take away screen time... this is still a powerful tool! But how do we empower our youth on social media? I don’t know what it’s like to be a parent. But I can tell you that our kids need us. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be hired by these therapy centers to work with them...
What dialog are you having with your children around social media? Have you experienced a dialog around comparison, depression, anxiety, or sexuality from what they are seeing on these channels? Comment below.
(Thank you ahead time for anyone commenting on this sensitive topic.)

They Are You Judging You Anyway
When we don’t feel fully expressed we tend to feel disconnected... disconnected from friends, partners, ourselves, spirit. We may start to feel directionless. Lonely. Like no one really understands us.
I was feeling all of these things. I had this belief that I had to make myself accessible and approachable. That all my hard work and credibility would be challenged... that no one would take me seriously. I’m 5 feet tall, petite, don’t look my age, and I am playing in an arena with 50+ year olds in the corporate and medical space who judge my looks before my credentials. (I know a lot of you here have experienced this in one shape or form - culturally, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, etc.)
When the awareness around my self expression came in I stared to see the internal conversation unfold around all the fears of being Fully Expressed. In the call today with my coach she said, “Danielle, don’t worry IF people will judge you. They ARE ALREADY judging you. So why not just be expressed?”
It’s something I say to my clients... and it was reflected back to me in just the bold, forward talk that my brain and body needed to shake me out of the FEAR:
The fear I have of loosing credibility.
The fear I have of loosing respect.
The fear I have of not being taken seriously. The fear I have of failing in getting the message out about the power of sound healing!
The fear I have of I will be perceived as TOO MUCH for a someone in a romantic relationship.
The fear I have of that tattoos will scare people away from my message.
The fear I have of I will not have close female friendships...
I go back one more time to Like the River Salon where @ginaj_hairsmyworld will take my hair all the way white. I’m checking in to your recommendations for tattoo artists. And I am squashing these fears. Once small action at a time. I am being loyal (@intentionallygray ) and loving to myself. People are going to judge you no matter what. They are going to judge your confidence. Your hair. Your style. Your smile... they are judging you based on their own filters and life experiences. Do you, because they are gonna judge anyway and you are not going to make the impact in the world you want to make by accommodating to what you THINK others are thinking. And you are sure not going to enjoy this ride called Life!
Thanks so much for the love and for following this story. I hope that it inspires you to me the fullest expression of yourself. 💕

WELP… I’m feeling it!
WELP… I’m feeling it!
I don’t know what it is but when I feel like something has shifted within, I feel the need to change my hair. Like, “THIS” is what I have to do to express the shift that has happened on the inside for it to fully be expressed. A statement, an exclamation point, an “I have committed to” the showing up fully in the evolution and alignment of self. And this… was a BIG SHIFT.
The kind with resistance, the ugly cry, and girl friends having your back when you go head to head with yourself!
I started working with a coach with the intention to evolve my spiritual practice. The very first session opened up awareness on foundation (root), play (sacral), and inner dialog (solar plexus) around the Self Expression.
I will admit… I was offended! (the resistance!) But it was true! (the ugly cry!) The more I explored this (friends showed up) with my coach we discovered that I had a belief that I needed to look a certain way to be accessible, approachable, and be taken seriously in my work endeavors, in friendships, and in love. (Its partially true about some areas of my work.) Though I have dabbled and tested the waters in a few areas, I haven’t had the courage to show up in the fullest outward expression of myself.
Tomorrow, I am taking the first step. Hair. (Not surprising! Haha!) My wardrobe will slowly evolve, and I am scoping out tattoo artists. The conversation on my feed will start to shift, and I will be adding a different type of sound bath experience for those wanting to go deeper into meditative experiences. (Stay tuned) And the biggest expression of all VOICE, will come more into play.
I share this because I strongly believe if Im not showing up fully, how can I ask you? We may all be on different paths, but they all lead to the same place. Inner peace. We all deserve to live a life we love. And the first step is to look in the mirror. I’m nervous and feeling a lot of emotions around this, but excited to see it all come together. And most of all, feel fully expressed.

Calm the mind already!
There are many forms of Sound Healing that can be used as a way to help release ourselves from our obsessive thinking.
When we sing to the songs on the radio, becoming ONE with Bae, or Brushin Your Should Off, we are in a sense, emulating those artists. However, laying down for a sound bath experience can be used as a tool to support in the letting go of the personas we pick up during our day, as well as the one we identify with... it helps you let go of thoughts, bring awareness back to Sound and truly find Stillness. .
A regular practice trains us to have the ability to let go. You can think of sound as the net that captures your thoughts into one place and the stillness diffuses its power over you and releases it. Going back to sound is an empowered action that supports us in the letting go of the things we obsess over. Like... if Kiki really does loves you. DUUUUUUDE! Come on! If you made sound to stillness a part of your everyday practice this THING with Kiki may not take as long to get over!
That goes for all of us. Having a Sound to Stillness Practice supports you in those times you get a blast of negative emotions like when you’re cut off in traffic, have a disagreement, go through a breakup, or someone writes your name wrong on your cup at Starbucks... it may take you 2 months to get over it rather than a year!
September is a special month. I am wrapping up my time facilitating in Philly and road tripping back to Atlanta tomorrow. Just in time to start a series of Sound Baths starting THIS Wednesday night.
These sound bath experiences can be used as a tool to conquer your obsessive mind chatter by training ourselves to let go and come back to a deeper, quieter place within.

Follow the feeling!
Follow the feeling.
I make decisions based on feeling. I get shit for it from time to time, but I have found that when I follow the feeling the mind comes in and figures out the rest. It’s served me well.
Relationships.
Work.
Friendships.
Go this way.
Say this.
Don’t say anything.
That feeling sense of our bodies is often overlooked but it’s always guiding us. We need only to pay attention.
Do you follow what you’re feeling? I know I can’t be the only one. Sound Healing has amplified it for me! The practice of using Sound to capture mind chatter to find Stillness has had a profound affect on my life.. Crystal bowls, chanting, drumming, breath... all vibrational tools that help us connect to our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
I don’t always want to act upon the feeling or awareness that comes through. And sometimes I make it hard on myself by resisting... but it always ends up showing me the truth. And while the truth can be hard to accept, it can also be liberating.

From Sound to Stillness
Whenever I feel like I'm not quite sure what I need to do next OR am feeling overwhelmed, I find the peace and clarity I need when I take myself out of what is familiar.
I consider all of this pretty natural. It’s easy to fall into a routine when we are in a familiar space. We fall into a comfortable rhythm. It’s safe. The same words. The same thoughts. The same food. The same people. The same movement. When we do something over and over it becomes a habit and we begin to make unconscious actions. Those actions can sometimes lead to a feeling of “stuck” for me. Have you experienced that?
Taking myself out of my “everyday” disrupts those rhythms and patterns. It introduces me to a different conversation and awarenesses that supports me in finding clarity and focus in my next steps. Sometimes that’s through a road trip. Sometimes it’s by making the conscious decision to do something differently.
But, I didn't always have this level of self awareness. Sound Healing has helped me build this awareness. I use Sound as the vehicle to get me to Stillness.
It is within Stillness, we find awareness and clarity that we can then use to Empower ourselves to make the change we want to see in our lives, and there is so much peace that comes from it. The more you practice Stillness, the easier it is to get there.
I have so many opportunities for you to join me this month. Ive noticed that my facilitation has shifted. I’m starting to use my voice more and it feels like my drums have come alive! Your energy is asking for something different and I am answering the call. I can tell that many of you are starting to find your voice. I hear you.
Choose to do something you haven’t done before, or maybe just a little out of routine. Witness the mind and body align to find peace and clarity.

The feelings are catching up with me
The feelings are catching up with me.
When I started working with Sound I knew that THIS would be the vehicle to help people feel safe in exploring the reflection they see in the mirror every day. To take an honest look and become curious. To take ownership of the part they play in their life. Sound would also be there for them to find empowerment. The last few days have shown me a lot about myself. If I didn’t believe it before, I believe it now down to the core of my soul. This is how I am meant to serve.
Saturday, was epic.
13 Sound Healers came together for my Sound Healing 101 class. I am so grateful and honored to have your trust in guiding you. You all bring something beautiful and unique to this work and I am so excited to witness what manifests next for you! I thank you for stepping into your truth because when you did, you provided the opportunity for me to step into mine. And the same for others.
Sunday, was other worldly.
I love working with 1 on 1. And though this experience will be kept private, again, I have to give immense gratitude for the trust bestowed upon me. Thank you for inviting me into your home and for allowing me to hold space for you and your family.
Monday, the cherry on top.
I feel like I am in a movie... I spent 1 day teaching the science, history, and application of sound in a therapeutic way, next to a day purely spiritual in nature, and then today creating a sound bath experience for Chik-Fil-A! Thank you for a room full of excited faces looking in to a new experience! My body is tired. My eyes are heavy, but my heart is full.
Time to unplug for a bit. I look forward to seeing you at a sound bath soon! May all your endeavors be blessed with the love and gratitude I have in my heart for the opportunity to serve you.

The smell of Purell still lingers in my nostrils.
The last 48 hours have been rough.
For the first time in my career I had to “call in”. To those who have signed up for the Soul Flow Yoga + Sound Bath I apologize I could not show up, but I know I left you in great hands with Shana Nunnelly
I am amazed at how dedicated our bodies are to fight off “evil doers”. No matter how volatile it needs to get in the fight. Food poisoning is not joke. At one point I was so weak I couldn’t walk, was seeing black dots, shivering uncontrollably, and yet, sweating. 6 miserable hours at Emory emergency room only to lay in a bed for an hour to receive the precious life giving saline solution... I still wonder if I could get the same from Vida-Flo and not have to witness all the things you witness while in an emergency waiting room. Nor the wait time. Nor the cost of not having insurance. The smell of Purell still lingers in my nostrils.
Thanks to the support of many who answered the call, whether picking me up early to get away from the impending fire alarm testing in my building, sending a smoothie through Uber Eats, bringing me water, the grand trip to the emergency room... and the waiting! Bone broth and all the loving text messages, I am feeling better.
Thank you all for your understanding. I hope to see you at next months sound bath where we can hug it out.

Lion’s Gate Portal
Today is an important day... and not just because it’s my friend @kvn_8 birthday! •
Each year, the Lion’s Gate Portal, opens from July 26 to August 12. This powerful portal of light transmission reaches its peak on August 8th (8/8). The number 8 is associated with harmony, balance and abundance. When placed on its side, it is the symbol of infinity.
This is a powerful time that gives us the opportunity to make BIG changes and transitions in our lives, in particular to move toward our most authentic selves.
Here are 6 tips from The Huffington Post on taking full advantage of this potent energy:
Be present
It’s all that there is. Be there with open eyes, open ears, open hearts and open minds. Bring your best self to every moment.
Focus on the Path In Front of You
The 23rd Psalm tells us that we have a shepherd and there is no reason to want anything - for it is all laid out before us. In green pastures and still waters. (Makes me want to go golfing!) If we let go of what limits us, we can put one foot in front of the other and follow our inner GPS. Don’t be afraid (fear no evil) to listen to how you feel and move toward your best thought. You are being guided. Take one day to really believe that and you will be amazed at what happens.
Roar like a Lion
This is the time to speak your truth. That’s doesn’t mean to rip anyone’s head off. It just means to make sure the voice that you are using is yours. Not the critic that lives in your head who sounds a lot like your mother. Be gentle and kind with your words, but never compromise what you are saying.
Don’t go back into the Lion’s Den for your Hat
The expression means if you get out of a difficult situation, don’t go back to it. Not even in your mind. There’s no need to replay old movies in your head. Move forward. Release the people and the things in your life that are no longer serving you. You’ll make space for all kinds of new relationships and adventures.
Hang out in your den with members of your soul tribe.
You know who they are. The people who make you feel loved, make you laugh, give you their shoulder. Your soul needs all the nurturing you can muster.
Show Your Pride
Do everything that you do that makes you feel good about yourself. Eat well. Sleep well. Exercise. Wear your good jewelry. Light candles. Let your freak flag fly. Be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished.

Wake up Solar Plexus!
Wake up Solar Plexus!
When did we loose ourselves?
When did we become so busy with being busy?
When did we forget that we are enough, and have always been enough?
When we don’t feel like we are ENOUGH… we make decisions based on NOT being enough.
We may over eat, stay in a relationship we know is not good for us, sit in a job we hate because the conversation in your head is: “Who am I to do that?” “Who am I to ask for more?”
“Who am I to be loved?” when… “Who are you not to?” What have you put on the back burner because you haven’t felt ENOUGH to do it? What is 1 small action you can take TODAY towards shifting that?

Point A to Point B.
I love hearing someone’s story of how they got from point A to point B. It’s usually a curvy, bumpy road with detours, u turns, and unexpected change of plans... The stories I like best though, are the ones where someone has turned their “I SHOULD” into “I MUST” and decide they are not settling for anything less!
We don’t get our goals, we get our MUST’s.

Breaking Old Patterns.
I had to get punched in the boob before I could believe I was capable.
We don’t know what we don’t know and its easy to get stuck in repeating patterns, thought processes, and belief systems. And sometimes it takes something really BIG to shake us up so we can come at from a new direction and perspective.
1. I had a belief that I was always going to be sick.
It took a Doctor saying, “If we don’t find out what’s going on with you, you’re going down a really dark road.” …that made me realize I wanted to LIVE.
2. I had a belief that because I worked so much I was not able to cultivate deep connections of friendship.
Then, I was homeless for 6 months bouncing from one friends couch to another, and I had the opportunity to have mirrored the love and depth of my relationships.
3. I had a belief that I didn’t have anything worth sharing that would be of value to people.
Then, I shared my health story with a young woman and 2 months later she reached out to share how it changed her life.
The Universe punches us in the boob to shake us up when we get into that tunnel vision, or spiral of limiting beliefs. It puts us in a situation to HAVE to think differently so we can TAKE ACTION on seeing the change we want in our lives. It is these moments that we have an opportunity to see what we are capable of. When I look at all that’s happen I can find strength and know that “I am capable.”
Thank you @artsymarie for today’s affirmation. 💕
